Just sharing my correspondences with Victor HQ in Taiwan

They answered to my questions, and explained the reasoning and understanding of Victor's Response Indicator and its difference with the stiffness rate (as printed in their racquet's cone).














Based on foregoing, I prepared some racquet's charts containing elaboration of Victor's Response Indicator with the Balance Point and Shaft's Stiffness

In late 2013, Victor reintroduced the new stiffness rating to the recently released new products, amongst others Jetspeed 8PS, Jetspeed 8ST, Meteor-X 80 (New Color), Meteor-X 90, Thruster K 7000S and Thruster K 9000

The new stiffness rating replaces the former triangle model, and is in the form of horizontal bar, which I consider to be similar with the stiffness rating applied by Yonex in its Japan website.

We have yet to learn how to understand this stiffness rating, and I expect that it would be further elaborated in the upcoming Victor Annual Catalog for Spring/Summer 2014.

Please find below the examples of the new stiffness rating to be applied by Victor in 2014 onward.

Thanks for the chart,really helpfull..
What i want to ask is currently i used tk 8000 as my racket,i am quite interested in tk 9000.
Based on the chart the difference only 1 level at the head heavy section,but the rating change quite a lot from 7/10 to 9/10...
Could you give me advice if i change to tk 9000, do i need much effort to adapt with this racket again?

based on the chart, even lhi and js8ps had the same spec, but response both of 'em are different. How come...i don't get it

This may be due to the use of different materials of both rackets

VICTOR PRO RACQUETS - DECEMBER 2014

The Response Indicator is classified into 10 levels
which shows on the racket’s shaft. The dot closes left
side with stiff response, while right side with flexible
response.
Please note that the difference in the 10 levels refers
to the comparison “between rackets of the same type.”
The benchmark for measuring rackets of different types
is different so their Response index value can’t be
compared.
