    In Finland, a scientist named Heikki Rusko has designed a "high-altitude house." The air inside the house, which is situated at sea level, is at normal pressure but modified to have a low concentration of oxygen, about 15.3% (below the 20.9% at sea level), which is roughly equivalent to the amount of oxygen available at the high altitudes often used for altitude training due to the reduced partial pressure of oxygen at altitude. Athletes live and sleep inside the house, but perform their training outside (at normal oxygen concentrations at 20.9%). Rusko's results show improvements of EPO and red-cell levels.

    Newbie mohon izin ikutan diskusi ya om.

    Masalah berlatih di ketinggian mmg berpengaruh positif, tp sampai seberapa jauh efeknya, bila pola latihan yg lain juga diterapkan dgn baik, kayaknya ga akan terlalu masif juga sih om. Ane ambil contoh aja dr olahraga Basketball & Sepak Bola.

    Di Basketball kompetisi NBA, kota2 yg terletak di dataran tinggi yaitu Denver Nuggets & Utah Jazz, belum pernah sampai menjuarai NBA, hebat2nya cuma masuk final aja (Utah Jazz). Juga sepakbola, negara2 amerika latin atau Eropa yg posisinya di dataran tinggi (Peru, Bolivia, & Swiss) kayaknya prestasinya juga biasa2 aja ya.

    IMHO, it helps, but it won't be the decisive factor.

    Teknologi kayak/identik yang ada di sepatu high end nya nike atau adidas, untuk memantau atlet. Dengan alat ini akan ketahuan swing speed dari atlet, frekuensi, dan hitungan lain turunannya (kalori yang dihabiskan). Kayaknya perlu nih buat timnas Indonesia, paling nggak atlet badminton (non hobbyist, non amatir).
